Reflective Report – Community Service Innitiative

The Module “Community Service Initiatives” Is A Project That I Have Been Looking  Forward To Because I Really Like Myself To Contribute Something To The Society And The Community, It Always Gives Me Satisfaction. For This Module, My Group Chose An Orphanage Called Rumah Asnaf Al Barakh Which Are Located In Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. Trough This Project, I Gained New Perspectives About Our Society In General. To Be Completely Honest,  I Always Am A Person Who Thinks That Every   Orphanage  Would House Kids Which Have No Parents, And People Will Just Come Adopt Them And It Goes As Simple As That. I Never Truly Realise How Difficult It Would Be To Rescue Kids From Irresponsible Parents, House, & Take Care Of The Innumerable Children Scattered All Around Our Society Environment.

I Am Aware That Businesses & The Economy Around The World Were Thrown Into Panic When The Unforeseen Global Pandemic Hit Us Like A Bolt Of Deadly Lightning, But I Overlooked How Non-Government Organisations Would Be The Worst Victims. This Module Is Truly Crucial As It Gave Every Student A Chance To Be More Socially Involved, And Opened Up Our Eyes To The Real World And What’s Happening Beyond Our Safety Bubbles. The Ngos Faces Daily Struggle Of Achieving Self-Sustainability Even Before The Covid-19 Epidemic, One Can Only Imagine How Much Worse It Could Be Afterwards

I Am Very Grateful To Teamed Up With Very Passionate And Supportive Members In This Module, At First We Started With A Few Options On Who Is The Beneficiary That We Are Going To Help Such As The Orang Asli, Animal Shelter And The Orphanage. We Really Have A Hard Time To Choose A Beneficiary Since Many Ngo Refuse To Receive Our Help, But In The End, We Get A Chance To Help An Orphanage In Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

During The Project, I Found Out That Each Of Us Have Our Own Speciality, Some Of Us Really Good At Designing, Some Of Us Good In Photography And Some Of Us Are Really Good In Managing A Social Media. With The Skills That We Have, We Decide To Teach The Staff Members Of The Orphanage On How To Manage And Designing Their Social Media Because In This Era, Social Media Is Really A Great Tool To Reach Their Possible Collaborators And Sponsors. There Are A Lot Of Difficulties That We Faces When Doing This Project But We Did Manage To Face The Problem, And Im Very Proud Of It.

His Project Also Taught Us The Power Of Social Media And How The Digital Era Is Taking Over Our Lives. With The Advantage Of Social Media, We Were Actually Able To Reach Out To Collaborators And Sponsors Nationwide.. In Short We Envision To Connect The Community In A Larger Scale And Get People Together Without Being Physically Present Which Is Rational With The Current Situation. We Know That The Six Of D Us Don’t Have The Power To Bring Everyone Together But Our Project Did Proved That With A Little Bit Of Commitment, It Is Definitely Achievable If Everyone Do The Same. I Sincerely Hope That In This Era, And With The Current Circumstances That The Human Race All Face Together, We Are Able To Be Closer And Be More Socially Aware Utilising The Technologies We Have.
